Travel Insurance & Health Disclaimer

Guidance on comprehensive travel cover, medical declarations, and entry health requirement compliance.

01

Insurance Strongly Recommended

Travellers should arrange comprehensive travel insurance as soon as a booking or visa application is initiated.

02

Medical Responsibility

Trip2Go is not a medical provider. Passengers must verify fitness to travel with qualified healthcare professionals.

03

Destination Health Rules

Vaccination requirements, medical attestations, and entry health guidelines can shift without advance notice.

04

Pre-Existing Conditions

Relevant medical history, ongoing treatments, and pregnancy must be declared to insurers and airlines prior to travel.

1. Why Comprehensive Travel Insurance Matters

International travel involves inherent risks including sudden illness, trip cancellations, lost travel documents, emergency hospital stays, and flight delays. Trip2Go strongly advises all clients to purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering emergency medical expenses (€30,000+ for Schengen countries), repatriation, and trip interruption.

Medical Cover: Hospitalization, emergency surgery, and medical evacuation costs abroad can be astronomical without insurance.

Cancellation Cover: A suitable policy may reimburse non-refundable travel expenses if illness or family emergency prevents travel.

Baggage & Belongings: Protects against theft, loss, or damage to luggage, electronic devices, and travel documents.

2. Health Declarations & Vaccinations

Entry health rules vary by destination, transit airport, recent travel history, and nationality. Passengers are responsible for satisfying all health requirements prior to boarding.

Travel Clinics & Doctors: Consult a qualified GP, travel clinic, or pharmacist at least 8 weeks prior to departure to review recommended vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis.

Medication Regulations: Check destination customs rules for prescribed medications. Always carry prescription letters and keep medicines in original packaging.

3. Pre-Existing Conditions, Mobility & Pregnancy

Travellers must declare pre-existing medical conditions, pregnancy, or mobility requirements to their insurance provider and carrier during booking.

Full Disclosure: Failure to declare a pre-existing medical condition may invalidate your insurance policy during an emergency.

Carrier Rules: Airlines enforce strict pregnancy thresholds (often requiring a fit-to-fly doctor certificate after 28 weeks). Trip2Go is not liable for boarding refusal due to missing medical clearances.

4. Force Majeure & Health Emergencies

Trip2Go is not liable for financial losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including pandemics, regional health emergencies, quarantine mandates, government border closures, or extreme weather.

In such instances, your travel insurance policy and airline/hotel tariff terms determine available refund or rebooking remedies.
