Essential rules for e-tickets, check-in timing, baggage allowances, and carrier schedule adjustments.
01
Carrier Contract
Your ticket creates a carriage contract directly with the airline. Trip2Go acts as your booking agent.
02
Reconfirm Flight Times
Travellers should reconfirm outbound and return flight schedules at least 72 hours prior to departure.
03
Arrive Early
International airport check-in and bag drop must be completed at least 120 minutes before departure.
04
No-Show Consequence
Missing an outbound flight sector usually causes the airline to automatically cancel all return flight sectors.
1. Check-In & Boarding Gate Deadlines
Airlines enforce strict check-in, baggage drop, security screening, and boarding gate deadlines. Trip2Go cannot override an airline's decision if a passenger arrives late or misses a gate closure.
International Flights: Complete airport check-in and baggage drop at least 120 minutes before departure unless your carrier specifies a longer window.
Domestic & Regional Flights: Arrive early enough to complete all airport security formalities, normally 90 minutes before departure.
Gate Closure: Most international carriers close boarding gates 45 minutes before scheduled departure. Arriving after gate closure is treated as a no-show.
2. Flight Reconfirmation & Schedule Changes
Airlines reserve the right to alter flight schedules, flight numbers, aircraft types, or airport terminals for operational, weather, or air traffic reasons. It is the passenger's responsibility to monitor schedules before travel.
72-Hour Check: Verify your flight status on the official airline portal 72 hours before departure and again on the morning of travel.
Contact Details: Ensure the email address and mobile phone number provided at booking are active so automated schedule alerts reach you.
3. E-Tickets & Passport Name Accuracy
Passenger names on flight tickets must match your passport spellings exactly. Even minor spelling discrepancies can result in airline boarding refusal or high ticket reissue fees.
Name Accuracy: Double check all names, titles, dates of birth, and passport numbers prior to authorizing ticket payment.
Name Corrections: Once an e-ticket is issued, name corrections depend on carrier rules and frequently require purchasing a new ticket.
4. Baggage Allowances & Damaged Luggage
Baggage allowances depend on cabin class, destination route, and fare type. Promotional or economy light fares may include cabin baggage only.
Lost or Damaged Luggage: Immediately report any luggage damage or delay to the airline ground crew before leaving the arrivals hall, and obtain an official Property Irregularity Report (PIR).
Restricted Goods: Do not pack hazardous materials, lithium batteries in checked bags, or liquids exceeding security limits in hand luggage.
